A security program named Seren.exe haunts your steps in the form of a little girl, evoking both Agent Smith and Half-Life's G-Man, and she's most effective at dishing out heebie-jeebies when you catch her in the corner of your eye. Despite the best efforts of overused sound effects and screeching violins, it doesn't always deliver. A scavenger hunt in the vein of Gone Home may serve as the Master Reboot's skeleton, but developer Wales Interactive wraps it in a creepy ambiance better suited to Amnesia or Huntsman: The Orphanage. Echoes of the deceased's consciousness waft through the circuitry, allowing the living to leave messages for them in the form of (yes) glowing rubber duckies. This is the Soul Cloud, a databank where loved ones can plug in to the memories of dead friends or family members, letting them relive key moments in the deceased's life as though they still walked the Earth. Lacking hints or tutorials, its encourages dreamlike fumblings by forcing you to learn its tricks by chance amid scenes and environments that shift as easily as tracks on a music player, all through the eyes of a female protagonist who discovers the method behind the broken images only by reading scraps and studying photos. Hydra Jump: Performs a short jump into the air, crushing anyone it lands on.Much like the Wachowski siblings' 1999 film (or Plato, for that matter), Master Reboot prompts us to question reality.Hydra Run: Bulldozes forward, knocking foes into the air.Hydra B: Shoots Rising Fountains forward in a rapid fire flurry.Combining all of his abilities in one, he summons a massive hydra, which does brutal damage in many ways: Using a combination of Loop the Loop and Rising Fountain, Trip teleports a short distance forward, reappearing in a flash of magic and an explosion of fireworks. Using a combination of Ride the Winds, Mach-I, and Magneto Ball, Trip launches himself upward, dragging enemies behind, causing electric damage. Trip catapults a Minor Miner forward, similar to King Dedede's Waddle Dee Throw.

Trip flings forward a mix of Ice Chakrams and Skunk-fu Stars in a rapidfire attack. He appears as DLC in Smash Beta, his move set being much different: Ironically, even though he wields them, he is very susceptible to element damage. He doesn't fare well falling from great heights.Geargolems take him down quickly if he isn't careful.Rancid Smells tend to send him running. However, the Auras can be neutralized by several things: Air Aura: A small whirlwind temporarily increases his speed.Earth Aura: A small sandstorm temporarily blinds enemies near him.Life Aura: He glows green and recovers some health.

He also has the standard Portal Master powers:įinally, whenever he uses a Skylander's power (After he collects his own Soul Gem: Elemental Auras), he automatically summons a temporary elemental aura which has varied effects on him:
